Description

This course will provide an overview of the exciting world of sport management. Emphasis will be on the relationship between sports and management. The course will incorporate a three-pronged approach, emphasizing principles, applications, and skill development. The study of sport will include sporting goods manufacturers, fitness centers, recreation departments, broadcasting, little league teams, high school, NCAA, and professional leagues. The study of management focuses on the four functions of management -- planning, organizing, leading, and controlling.This course will provide an overview of the exciting world of sport management.
