Description
This course presents an overview of the role of the nurse in a community setting with emphasis on healthcare policy, social justice, health literacy, health promotion, and epidemiologic methods. Health disparities and inequities at both the local and global levels are threaded throughout the course. Special emphasis is placed on clinical experiences in community settings where the student can examine and apply these concepts.
