Description
This course introduces the student to
principles of critical care nursing. As an advanced
caregiver the student utilizes therapeutic
nursing interventions to meet psychosocial and
psychological needs of the critically ill client.
The roles of leader, collaborator, and change
agent are utilized in applying theory to clinical
practice in a critical care setting. Prerequisites:
NR 317, 318, 319, 320; concurrent enrollment
in senior clinical course(s) as advised; completion
of all preceding requirements.
