Description

This course introduces the student to
principles of psychiatric mental health nursing.
Emphasis is placed on a holistic perspective in
the delivery of nursing care to clients with mental
health problems. The roles of caregiver, beginning
leader, teacher and advocate are utilized
in applying theory to clinical practice in a variety
of settings. Prerequisites: NR 216, 217, 218,
219, 220; concurrent enrollment in junior
clinical course(s) as advised; completion of all
preceding requirements.
