Description
Students in Fashion Design and Merchandising
may choose to spend their third year at
the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
Students who choose the F.I.T. Track are responsible for
providing their own room, board and transportation
while in New York and seeing that all
official transcripts of their completed work in
New York are mailed to the Registrar's Office at
Ursuline College. All work in both fashion design
and merchandising management is considered enrichment
elective credit. Students receive an Associate
in Applied Science Degree from the Fashion Institute
of Technology upon graduation from
the home institution; Ursuline College. In
order to be eligible for a year of studies
at the Fashion Institute of Technology a student
majoring in Fashion Design or Fashion Merchandising
must:
1. Complete 60-64 credit hours
2. Be nominated by the faculty of the
fashion department
3. Be officially accepted by the Fashion
Institute of Technology
