Description

This course involves independent, in-depth reading and research on a self-defined topic in order to gain an understanding of the discipline through practice. Special attention will be paid to the methods employed by art historians and their cultural underpinnings, as well as to how different publication venues contribute to the variety of art historical scholarship. This course culminates in a research proposal to be pursued in AR 490.
