Description

This course examines American national government. American politics operates within a constitutional system. The constitution defines the institutions of governments and the rights of individuals. Citizens play a political role. Intermediaries enable citizens to act together and connect them to government. The functions of government are defined and played out in the nation's elective and appointive institutions. Public policies are decisions of government to pursue various courses of action. *HI/AM
