Description
This course challenges students to explore the value of nursing research for evidence
based practice and its contribution to quality patient outcomes. Students will learn basic principles of research and how ethical guidelines help to protect participants in scholarly activities. Using the seven steps of the evidence-based practice process, students will learn how to construct a clinical question, use academic databases to find evidence, analyze research studies for quality, strength, and applicability to practice, and provide suggestions for the use of evidence in professional nursing practice.
