Description
This course is designed to provide the student with an in-depth understanding of legal research and writing skills utilizing various legal research sources. Through the use of several research assignments, the student will learn to use the law library and electronic resources developing research skills using case reporter systems, digests, legal encyclopedias, periodicals, statutes, and practice manuals. Basic legal writing is emphasized throughout the course with writing assignments, culminating in a formal legal memorandum exploring legal issues. Prerequisite: LS 101.
